PURPOSE:To obtain a flowmeter which can detect only the oscillations by vortexes surely by supporting an oscillating member in such a way as to attain mass equil. with respect to a revolving shaft including the centroid thereof and oscillating the same torsionally around the revolving shaft. CONSTITUTION:A pair of vortex generating bodies 2 for generating K arm an vortexes and a vortex detecting part 3 are provided to a pipeline 1. The bodies 2 are constituted of a pair of upper stream columnar bodies 4 of an isosceles triangle shape and down stream columnar bodies 5 of an isosceles trapezoidal shape. The two bodies 4, 5 are inserted perpendicularly in the flow at specified intervals 6. Slits 7a, 7b are provided on both side surfaces near the end part in the axial direction of the bodies 5 to conduct the change in the pressure of the generated vortexes. An oscillator 8 made of a thin metal of about 20mu thickness is formed integrally with an oscillating diaphragm 9, a pair of span bands 10a, 10b, and a frame part 11. The diaphragm 9 is so formed as to maintain mass with respect to the central axis thereof and to generate torsional oscillations with the bands 10a, 10b. |
