PURPOSE:To acquire a quick response to the variation of power control, an accurate CVT control, and a reduction of production cost of the device, by composing the system to make a variation command of the engine torque or the motive power through the direct engine throttle opening control by the accelerator pedal. CONSTITUTION:The control device is composed of an engine control system A section and a CVT control system B section. First an accelerator pedal position signal alpha is input to a power control device 900. Then a power command signal Pcom is combined with an actual engine power output Pa, and a signal DELTAP is input to a variable gain compensator 902 to convert to an engine throttle opening signal DELTAtheta. Then, the opening of the engine throttle 12 is controlled and adjusted by a throttle servo amplifier 13, by using a signals theta1 indicating the throttle opening to follow the ideal engine operation line, added by the engine opening signal DELTAtheta(DELTAtheta+theta1). On the other hand, the CVT control system is controlled and adjusted to avoid a sudden variation of the engine torque. As a result, the engine is operated along the ideal operation line constantly with a good response.
