PURPOSE:The titled suppository drug useful for remedying acute and chronic hepatitis, promoting absorption of interferon form the mucosa of the colon and the rectum, containing a ursodeoxycholate and interferon. CONSTITUTION:A suppository preparation containing a ursodeoxycholate and interferon (IFN for short). If bioavailability of IFN in the liver can be improved by promoting absorption of IFN from the mucosa of the colon and the rectum, IFN can be used as an antiviral agent and an immune adjunct in remedy of acute or chronic hepatitis. When IFN is blended with the ursodeoxycholate and administered to the rectum, clear increase in IFN plasma level is observed. In rectum administration, there is possibility of IFN gradient in portal vein- peripheral blood vessel, therefore IFN concentration of blood flow volume of the liver is raised, to improve remedying effects on hepatitis. The concentration of ursodeoxycholate is 600-900mg/weight. |
