<p>Appts for making an insulating foam comprising a mixing chamber with a compressed air entry jet, supply and removal parts for the foamable material, a shaft rotating vertically in the chamber carrying blades and beaters, the blades below the beaters are arranged so as to elevate the foamable material to where the beaters can produce a foam of desired density. The foamable material is esp. sodium silicate reinforced with fibres. The fibres do not clog the appts as in a prior art appts. of similar type.</p> |
