PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of power generation, by eliminating restrictions between the pressure of raw fuel and the temperature of steam obtained from the cooling water of a fuel cell of the phosphoric acid type, to use the raw fuel of high pressure without lowering it, to heighten the operation pressure of the cell. CONSTITUTION:Steam taken out of a steam separator 53 is saturated steam whose pressure corresponds to the temperature in the separator. The steam is divided on the outlet side of the separator so that some of the steam is passed through a pipe 54 and cooled into water by a cooler, the water is returned to the pipe, and the other of the steam is heated as added steam by a heater 61, pressurized by a pressurizer 62 and supplied to a steam adder 2 through a steam line. The relation between the pressure of raw fuel and the temperature of cooling water of the fuel cell 4 of the phosphoric acid type can thus be eliminated to lower the operation temperature of the cell 4 to increase the time for the deterioration of an organic substance to lengthen the life of the cell, or to obtain a fuel cell power generation system of high power generation efficiency for the high pressure of raw fuel. |
