PURPOSE:To obtain an optical element having high light reflectivity at low cost by using a lead frame consisting of an Al alloy, surface roughness thereof is kept within a range of SN2-SN10. CONSTITUTION:An optical element is composed of an aluminum alloy, surface roughness thereof extends over SN2-SN10 stipulated by JISB0659, and has lead frames 2, 3, to upper end sections thereof a pan-shaped reflecting section 1 is formed, a light emitting or light receiving element 4 joined with the reflecting section and a resin 6 sealing the element. The alloy mainly comprising aluminum consists of magnesium, manganese, silicon, iron, chromium, copper, zinc, etc., and an Al-Mg-Si alloy, an Al-Cu-Si alloy, an Al-Cu-Mg alloy, etc., are cited as the alloy. |
