PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having a less tendency for generating the deterioration of the quality due to an use for long periods by applying a reaction product of an org. tin oxide and a 2 valent alcohol to a surface of the titled material, thereby affording an appropriate negative electric charge to a toner. CONSTITUTION:The org. tin oxide comprises, for example, dimethyl tin oxide and a dialkenyl tin oxide. The main 2 valent alcohol which is an another component of the reaction product comprises, for example, ethylene glycol, etc. The org. tin alkoxide is synthesized by dispersing the corresponding org. tin oxide having the 2 substituents into a solvent such as benzene and toluene, etc., and then by reacting it with the corresponding 2 valent alcohol followed by effecting a dehydrating reaction of the alcohol and the tin oxide. Both a nonmagnetic and a magnetic toners may be used. The toner is a colored magnetic body contg. a coloring agent in a binding resin, and if necessary, the toner may comprise magnetic powders. |
