摘要 PURPOSE:To extract particles having the requested range of density level with high accuracy from the variable-density image of a body to be tested consisting of plural particles by providing the first and the second means that perform a binarization with requested threshold value respectively and a means that fattens the image two- dimensionally. CONSTITUTION:A variable-density image GO of ceramic material consisting of the mixture of aluminum particles 31 and carbon particles 32 obtained from a CT system is written on the memory part MO of an image memory device 22 in a particles extraction processor 16. The image GO is sent to a binarization processor 24 and is binary- coded by a threshold value LO, to become a binarization image G1. The image G1 is transferred to an image fattening processor 25 and the fattened binarizartion image and the image GO are sent to an inter-picture element arithmetic unit 27, an AND process is applied on them, and they are binary-coded with a threshold value L1 at the binarization processor 24, to become a binarization image G2. The image GO is binary-coded at the binarization processor 24 by the threshold value L1, to become a binarization image G3, and at the inter-picture element arithmetic device 27, the difference of the picture element values between the image G3 and the image G2 is calculated, thereby the extracted image G4 of the carbon particles 32 being obtained.
