PURPOSE:To automate the setting of the opening of a side guide and the stoppage of the transportation of a material by providing a width meter to the upstream side of a transporting line for setting the opening of side guide in accordance with the measured value of width and comparing the measured value with a set value at the time of detecting the passing of material for stopping a roll table. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 1 is turned on or off when a material is transported on a transporting line 14, and 1 is added to a counter 10 for every ON of the sensor 1, and 2 is subtracted from the counter 10 for every OFF of a sensor 5; and the stop and drive of a roll table 7 is automatically performed so that the material between a width meter 2 and the sensor 5 is always lower than 1. The opening of a side guide 4 is set by a control device 6 by measuring the width of material when the material passes the width meter 2, and the measured value of width is compared with the opening of guide 4 when the material turns on a sensor 3 to stop a roll table 11 when the opening of guide 4 is abnormal. In this way, the automatic setting of the side-guide opening and the automatic stopping of transportation at the time of abnormal setting, can be performed. |
