PURPOSE:To detect exactly shaft torque by detecting a reaction force generated in a supporting member of a stator as a variation of load applied to the stator when the rotor is braked. CONSTITUTION:A titled torque sensor is constituted of a rotor which rotates integrally with a shaft 1A, a stator 26 which contacts this rotor 6 and damps the shaft 1A by frictional resistance, and a detecting member 21 for controlling movement of the stator 26 in the rotating direction of the rotor 6. Also, it is provided with a detecting part for detecting a reaction force when the stator 26 executes a damping operation to the detecting member 21, and a sensor for outputting a signal which is proportional to the reaction force working on this detecting part. |
