PURPOSE:To prevent trouble even in a heavy load engine by inserting a previously compressed spring into a gap between the inside annular rib section of piston crown and a projected section of piston rod. CONSTITUTION:In a loop structure piston formed by the inside annular rib section 1 of piston crown, the ring land section 3, the flanged section 4a at the upper end of piston rod 4 and the inside rib section 4b, a spring 2 is inserted into a gap between the inside annular rib section 1 and the inside rib section 4b while being compressed previously then the ring land section 3 and the upper end flange section 4a are jointed through a bolt 7. Consequently, fretting corrosion will never occur at the inside annular rib section 1 while thermal deformation is released considerably to maintain the thermal stress at low level. |
