A suspension device for chains, of the type having two suspension members (3, 8) for chain links, one suspension member (8) engaging in a housing (1) with a guide member (5) movable against the force of a spring (7), comprises at least one stop (15) secured to the guide member (5) and extending through a slot (16) in the housing (1).
