PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of compression to shorten the time of operation and to aim at miniaturizing the apparatus, by introducing high pressure air in a reservoir tank into a suction hole in a compressor to compress the thus introduced air. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle height device is provided with a compressor 1 driven by an engine 2 and a reservoir 3 for reserving air from the compressor 1, both of which are connected to a supply passage 9 through the intermediary of a dryer 8. In this arrangement unload holes (a, b) in both members 1, 3 are communicated with each other through an unloader circuit 13 which is provided thereto with a pressure switch 15 for detecting loading conditions. Further, an air supply circuit 16 branches off from the above-mentioned circuit 13, and there is provided a valve A for communicating the suction port Y of the compressor 1 with the branch-off point A of the circuit 16, which is opened to feed compressed air into the above-mentioned suction port Y from the reservoir 3 when a load condition is detected during supply of air. |
