PURPOSE:To give an electric conductivity to the surface of a thermoplastic resin continuous body by making the continuous body, which is extruded from an extruder, pass through the interior of an ion-implantation unit provided on its proceeding passageway. CONSTITUTION:A tube 2 consisting of such a vinyl chloride series resin as a vinyl chloride resin and a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin, polyethylene, polypropylene and other various thermoplastic resins is introduced in a water tank 3 provided on its passageway and made to pass through in the water, whereby the tube is cooled and solifified. Moreover, the tube 2 is made to pass through the interior of an ion-implantation unit 4 provided on its passageway and a conductivity is imparted to the external surface of the tube 2. As the ion-implantation unit, all ones which have been hitherto used for imparting a conductivity, such as an RG type or Nielsen type ion-implantation unit, can be used. The thermoplastic resin tube ion-implantated in such a way can be used at LSI substrate manufacturing plants, food product factories, chemicals factories and so on without causing adverse effect due to electrification. |
