PURPOSE:To enable confirmation of a state of setting an original after closing a cover and to prevent miscopying by forming a cover made of a semitransparent material. CONSTITUTION:An original cover 3 is provided with its side end fixed with a fixing member 4 flexibly openably around it with a handle 5. The cover 3 is made of a white semitransparent material and when closed, an original 6 can be seen through it from the outside. Accordingly, when the original 6 is placed and the cover 3 is closed, it can be confirmed from the outside whether the original 6 is set right on a platen 2 or not. The cover 3 is constituted by sandwiching both sides of a white semitransparent soft PVC sheet 31 with transparent films 32, such as polyethylen terephthalate films. |
