PURPOSE:To carry out spheroidization treatment in front of the sprue of a casting mold by providing an inflow hole into which a molten cast iron flows, reaction chamber which is connected thereto and in which a spheroidizing agent is housed, filter chamber which is connected via a runner to the reaction chamber and has a filter on the outlet side and outflow hole connected to the outlet side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A pouring basin 1 is formed of a cope 10 and a drag 11 and is provided with the inflow hole 2 into which the molten cast iron flows, the reaction chamber 3 which is connected to the port 2 and in which the spheroidizing agent 30 is housed and the filter chamber 5 which is connected via the runner 20 to the reaction chamber 3 and has the filter 7 on the outlet side. The outflow hole 6 connects to the outlet side of the filterchamber 5. The molten metal admitted into the hole 2, therefore, arrives at the reaction chamber 3 via the runner 20 and contacts with the spheroidizing agent 30 in said chamber and is thereby spheroidized. |
