PURPOSE:To secure head up-and-down function, carriage moving function and paper feed function with one pulse motor, by performing head up-and-down and paper feed through a rack moving according to the driving of a pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:By driving a pulse motor 1, gears 3, 4, 5, 6 rotate and the gear 11 engaged with the gear 5 rotates and the gear 13 engaged with the gear 11 rotates while a pulley gear 14 rotates and a pulley 15 rotates to move a belt 17 and a carriage is moved along a platen with the movement of the belt 17. A change-over lever 24 has a pin 25 which engages with the upper surface part containing the cam 21 of a rack 20 mounted to the end part thereof and is integrally mounted to a main shaft 26. Because a thermal heat is engageable with said main shaft 26, the rack 20 is moved by the driving of the pulse motor 1 and, by the movement of said rack 20, the up-and-down of the thermal head and paper feed can be performed. |
