PURPOSE:To obtain the titled glass having excellent strength and appropriate for the artificial root of a tooth, etc., by compression-molding fine glass powder of MgO-CaO-SiO2-P2O5, heating the molded body in the sintering temp. region and then heating in the crystallization temp. region. CONSTITUTION:Less than 200-mesh glass powder contg., by weight, 7-16% MgO, 20-45% CaO, 41-50% SiO2, 8-30% P2O5, 0-5% B2O3, 0-5% F2 and 0-10% Al2O3 is prepared. Then the glass powder is compression-molded and the molded body is heated in the sintering temp. region of the glass powder and then heated in the crystallization temp. region to obtain the desired alkaliless crystallized glass for organisms. Consequently, many crystals of apatite, wollastonite, diopside, etc., are grown on the inside of the glass powder particles and from the surface to the inside and the glass of complicatedly enmeshed structure is obtained. |
