摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of longitudinal plate thickness by measuring each plate thickness of inlet and outlet sides of a rolling stand respectively and detecting a deteriorated position on a deviation of the outlet plate thickness, then correcting said position at the next stand. CONSTITUTION:An inlet thickness meter 26, an inlet plate length meter 24 and an outlet thickness meter 32, an outlet plate length meter 34 are installed on the inlet and outlet sides on a reversing mill respectively. On an arbitrary stand or path, the plate thickness of the inlet and outlet sides of a steel strip 10 are measured while corresponding to longitudinal positions of the plate by the plate thickness meters 26, 32. Then, the deviations of the inlet and outlet plate thickness for the setting values of the inlet and outlet plate thicknesses are obtained and the deteriorated positions of the deviations on the outlet plate thicknesses are detected through a prescribed discrimination equation. For this position, the correction of a gain is performed to control with the optimum gain on the next stand or path. Therefore, the accuracy of plate thickness is improved.</p>
