X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

The image of an object is detected under examination, and is converted into x-ray transmission signals. An A/D converter changes the transmission signals into digital transmission data. An x-ray shield partly blocks the transmission of x-rays over a projection area. A memory storesd at least first x-ray transmission data acquired during a projection period with the shield inserted into the projection area. An arithmetic operation device obtains data representing an intensity distribution of scattered x-ray components, over the entire projection area by an inter polation method.
