<p>PURPOSE:To perform enlargement and reduction, and longitudinal-lateral ration conversion optionally without any image defect by providing a condenser lens system with an enlarging and reducing function, and making the repetition speed of the scanning of a light self-emitting type array light source or shutter light source invariably similar to an actual original image or virtual original image to be recorded originally. CONSTITUTION:An enlarging/reducing lens system moves according to indicated magnification and an image 4, i.e. scanning line length varies to indicated length and when a preset similar image is outputted at the same time, the period of one line of a solid-state scanning light source 3(LED array) 1 is set automatically according to the magnification and the quantity of exposure of a photosensitive body surface as a result of the magnification variation is optimized automatically. For the purpose, the LED array employs a light quantity correction system for an irregularity in light emission to obtain the quantity of light meeting electrophotographic requirements at any time. When a selection of form size is made corresponding to the magnification variation, variable power is divided into some range for adaption by setting 1- several kinds of forms.
