PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of a molten metal temp. and to sense the leakage of the molten metal from a holding furnace by providing >=2 thermocouples. CONSTITUTION:The signals from the two thermocouples 3a, 3b are connected to respective thermometers 9a, 9b in which upper and lower limit temps. are respectively set. A voltmeter monitor device 11 checks the voltages impressed to inductor coils 7a, 7b and emits an alarm when the voltages deviate from the set conditions. A molten metal leakage detector 12a makes short circuiting and emits an alarm when the molten metal arrives at the coil 7a or 7b by passing through refractories in an inductor 5. Sensors 14a, 14b are short-circuited by the solidified molten metal drops on a tray 13a when the molten metal leaks from the inductor 5 in the upper part of the tray and the molten metal drops fall thereon. Then a molten metal leakage detector 12b emits an alarm. |
