The device forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a pipe 1 which has an open exit end, a metering device 4 for powdered material placed in communication with the end of the pipe 1 which is opposite to its exit end, and a gas mixer 3 and an ignition device which are connected to the pipe 1, and is characterised in that the gas mixer 3 is placed in communication with the pipe 1 in the middle part of the latter.
