The invention relates to a feeder for bulk material for a belt conveyor which is longitudinally displaceable, can be tilted about an axis arranged transversely with respect to the running direction, is mounted in an excavator, spreader or similar device or is coupled to such a device, and is mounted on a travel gear or connected to a further device in an articulated manner. The aim of the invention is to design a feeder in which material is saved and chute blockages and over-fillings are limited. The object consists in guaranteeing a central feed of the bulk material on the conveyor belt leading away by means of a feeder which can be moved and fixed. The object is achieved in that a belt conveyor, which can be moved on supporting rollers, is mounted in a supporting frame, which can be tilted about an axle mounted perpendicularly to the running direction and is provided with a funnel-shaped chute, a conveyor belt being guided over the feed roller table. The invention is suitable, in particular, for surface working devices. <IMAGE>
