PURPOSE:To position recording electrodes accurately and easily, by constituting each recording electrode of an ink-impregnable member with a tapered tip, and supporting the tip by a tapered support holes. CONSTITUTION:In a printer for forming an image by selectively flying ink droplets by an electrostatic means, each recording electrode 54 is constituted of an ink-impregnable conductive member, the tip thereof being tapered/ A support plate 63 is provided with a plurality of tapered support holes 64 conforming in shape to the tips of the recording electrodes at locations positioned for the electrodes 54. Since the recording electrodes 54 are restrained by he support holes 64, all of the electrodes 54 are accurately positioned at preset position. The positioning can be easily performed simply by pressing the tips of the recording electrodes 54 into the support holes 64 by, for example, springs 59. |
