摘要 PURPOSE:To save the power consumption during standby by using a timer to control a power supply of a transmission frequency synthesizer. CONSTITUTION:When an automobile telephone set is in the standby state where its control channel is waiting an incoming signal from a base station, the set receives a signal shown in figure continuously. A demodulation signal supplied from a reception section 3 is fed to a control section 8 at first, where the detection of a frame synchronizing signal FS is started. When the frame synchronizing signal FS is detected, the control section 8 starts a timer 18. When a preset time Tt elapses, the timer 18 informs it to the control section 8, which turns on a power of a transmission frequency synthesizer 5 through a control line 17 and the frequency is designated to a control channel through a transmission channel designation line 12. When a signal succeeding to the frame synchronizing signal FS is an idle signal, the control section 8 turns off the power of the transmission frequency synthesizer 5 through the control line 17.
