<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the effective chemicals at high concn. by separating the desulfurization process into two stages, bringing waste gas into contact with an liq. absorbent in the second stage, circulating and using the liq. and supplying a part of the liq. absorbent obtained in the second stage to the first stage desulfurization process. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas is supplied to the first absorption tower 1, spirally sent upward in the tower and brought into contact with a liq. absorbent injected from the spray nozzle 6 of a center pipe 5b. The SOx in the gas is absorbed. Then the gas enters the second absorption tower 3 and spirally flows upward in the tower. The gas is brought into contact with a liq. absorbent injected from a center pipe 5a and the SOx in the gas is absorbed. A part of the liq. absorbent overflowing from the bottom part 10 of the second absorption tower 3 is sent to the bottom part of the first absorption tower 1 through an overflow pipe 14 and circulated and used. Besides, the liq. absorbent discharged from a discharge pipe 11 at the bottom part 10 of the second absorption tower is sent to a pipe 9 and circulated and used.</p> |
