A laminar block has blankets 21 of inorganic fibres integrated by three lines of sewing 23, 24, 25. The threads are identical and thread 23 has a front side thread part 28 extending along the outer surface 27 of a blanket 26 on one surface of the body. A rear side thread part 31 extends along the outer surface 30 of a blanket 29 on the other surface of the block. Penetrating thread parts 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 48a are respectively connected at their one ends 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 37 integrally with the front side thread part 28, and at their other ends 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43 integrally with the rear side thread part 31. The thread may be in the form of a single chain stitch or a lock stitch of two threads. The stitching enables the block to be out into a desired shape without fear of separation or disintegration of the blocks. A sewing machine for producing the threading is also disclosed. <IMAGE> |
