VIDEO MEMORY

摘要

PURPOSE:To attain high-speed operation and to obtain a video memory with less power consumption and suitable for video signal processing by providing a buffer corresponding to the column direction length of a memory cell array as the input and adopting the static column system for the output section. CONSTITUTION:Data read next is selected from a memory cell array 1 and a sense amplifier 2 is operated to apply read in advance. Then one row selected from the memory cell array 1 by a row decoder 12 is connected to the sense amplifier 2 to attain read-enable state during the display period. The so-called static column system reading sequentially the output of the sense amplifier 2 via a data output buffer 6 and a select switch 3 is used. Since no write is given to the memory cell array 1 during this period, write data inputted from an input terminal 7 is stored tentatively in the input register 9. Then the input/ output of the display data is stopped to write the data from the input register 9 on the memory cell array 1.
