摘要 The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting defects in glass products and, moreover, in other media which can be transilluminated, and furthermore to a device for, in particular, testing glass products for surface cracks and edge cracks. The aim is to achieve a high testing rate and a higher reliability in the testing of glass products in the production process in conjunction with an acceptable cost. The object was to find a method by means of which the effect of glass defects on a testing radiation can be distinguished clearly from other influencing factors, and to provide a device which is suitable for this purpose and easy to produce. According to the invention, the region of the specimen which is of interest is irradiated using moving beams of monochromatic coherent radiation via a diaphragm system, and the transformed radiation is analysed in a differential arrangement via an evaluating electronic system with the aid of radiation integrators and detectors which are insensitive to the original radiation. The device created for this purpose consists of a virtually spherical rotatable test head having light sources, detectors and a downstream evaluation electronic system.
