<p>In the manufacture of planar structures provided with layers, such as, for example, interior motor-vehicle door coverings, the problem arises of the secure fastening of the layer in the region of the edges of the surface. Hitherto, complete clasping of the edges with the layer has been carried out in various work operations and/or manually. This is expensive. Simple folding, also carried out against the front side of the edges is insufficiently durable. Therefore, it is proposed according to the invention to place the layer inside the mould in a first folding operation against a front side of the edge of the surface and then to apply it in an additional folding operation to the additional outer surface which follows the front side of the edge of the surface, this folding having to take place inside the mould by means of two deformation elements which are independent and translatable in a corresponding manner.</p> |
