<p>PURPOSE:To make quick drying possible and to improve roller stability and mottling of an ink under high-temp. and high-humidity conditions by adding water to a glycol solvent of a printing ink for relief printing using at least three ink distributing rollers. CONSTITUTION:In a printing ink for relief printing using at least three ink distributing rollers, 5-50% water is added to a glycol used as a vehicle, which is primarily composed of ethylene glycol or diethylene glycol. It is possible to eliminate failure in drying and to complete drying at room temp. in a short time <=5min, with advantage of little ink loss during color changeover, little need for washing water and no formation of waste water in the conventional printer/slotter printing process using a glycol solvent. Even if the ink is deteriorated in printing function at a high temp. and low humidity, a it is possible to restore good printing function and drying rate by keeping an atmosphere in contact with the ink distributing roller at an adequate humidity by use of a humidifier.</p> |
