PURPOSE:To faithfully reproduce an image having a good gradation characteristic by forming a ceramic layer on the surface of a metallic sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The ceramic layer 3 is coated on the surface of the metallic sleeve 2 made of aluminum, stainless steel, etc. and the ceramic layer is not formed to a non-image part 2a. The film thickness of the ceramic layer 3 is made 3X10-1X10<6>Angstrom and the electric resistance (in terms of volumetric value) of the surface is set at 1X10<2>-1X10<6>OMEGAcm at a high point, 1X10<-4>-1X10<-6>OMEGAcm at a low point and 1X10<-4>-1X10<1>OMEGAcm apparent average resistance. SiO2, TiO2, Ta2O5, In2O3, ZrO2, Al2O3, PbO, PbO2 and other metallic oxide ceramics are used for the ceramics which are dissolved in an org. solvent and are coated on the sleeve surface. |
