<p>A refrigeration system which uses a non-azeotropic mixture of coolants which have different boiling points. This compressed and partially condensed mixture - it condenses partially in the condenser - is subjected to at least one intermediate cooling stage in which part of the condensed liquid is expanded. The expanded liquid evaporates, releasing heat, and is combined with the stream of gas coming from the evaporator. This process may be repeated a number of times. The total condensed mixture of coolant coming from the last intermediate stage is expanded in order thus to obtain the final low temperature, the residual vapours and liquid being aspirated by the compressor. <IMAGE></p> |
