Sprung castors are provided with a swivel fork (6) which is mounted such that it can move around a vertical axis (4) in a swivel bearing (2) which is to be attached to the appliance, with a wheel fork (11) which is mounted in the swivel fork such that it can move around a tilting spindle (8), running parallel to the castor wheel spindle (13), and supports the castor wheel (12) and with a wheel fork spring (10) which is arranged between the wheel fork (11) and the swivel fork (6). In order to arrive at a particularly compact and solid castor construction with, at the same time, easy adjustability of the swivelling movement even at relatively high loads, the wheel fork (11) is designed as a one-armed lever with the tilting spindle (8) placed above the wheel circumference, the wheel fork spring (10) being supported on that part (11<IV>) of the wheel fork back (11') which is placed above the wheel spindle (13). <IMAGE> |
