PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of uneven development by the rotation of a sleeve in the stage of copying by hermetically sealing a working fluid into a developing sleeve and providing a means for making the temp. distribution of the sleeve uniform by capillarity. CONSTITUTION:Fiber core materials 10 having the capillarity are flocked to the inside surface of the developing sleeve 5 having a heat transfer characteristic and are disposed to face a multipolar magnet 12. A proper volume of the working fluid is put into the sleeve and the sleeve is hermetically sealed. The working fluid evaporates and moves into the space in the sleeve when the temp. of the drum side of the sleeve 5 is increased by the heat radiated from a photosensitive drum 1. The vapor condenses on the surface having the low temp. and heats the surface by the latent heat, thus maintaining the sleeve at a uniform temp. distribution. Alcohols, amines, ketones, freons, water, ammonia, benzene, toluene, xylene, n-hexane, cylohexane, etc. are used as the working fluid. Synthetic fibers including nylon, polyester, etc. and natural fibers including felt, wool, cotton, etc. are used as the wicks (core materials) 10. |
