<p>The apparatus comprises a plurality of yarn guides (19, 23, 25, 29) causing a yarn (11) being drawn from a yarn package (13) or the like and directed towards a needle (37) of a textile machine to follow a path (11a, 11b) forming at least two tangential arcs with the cylindrical surface (39) of a rotatable feed drum (5). When the yarn (11) is subjected to tension, as being required by the needle (37), it presses against the drum (5) and the yarn (11) is pulled along. When the tension is released, there is no yarn feed.</p> |
