Ceiling element for hanging at the ends between supporting rails and including a surface (2) whose side edges (3) are bent upwards to form side flanges, between which insulation material in the form of mineral wool is positioned, and where the side flanges have a profile that is designed to hold together adjacent pieces. So that the adjacent elements in a ceiling are able to reinforce one another, without consequently making it impossible to remove any one element, and to achieve high resistance to smoke gasses travelling through the air in the event of a fire, the side flanges' free edge (4, 5) is bent to form a channel open on the bottom, in that the one edge (5) is bent inwards and the other (4) outwards, and approximately in the middle of the one flange a depression (6) running along the length of the side flange and a corresponding protrusion (7) on the other side flange.<IMAGE> |
