Gear casing for electric tools which consists of a metallic material and comprises a casing wall which is surrounded by an insulating plastic coating, characterized in that hollows or like recesses (2, 4) are provided on the exterior of the casing wall to anchor the insulating plastic coating (7) which is applied by injection moulding, that the casing comprises in the area of its face grooves (5, 6) which have been formed by turning and likewise serve to anchor the plastic coating (7) and that the casing interior comprises supporting bars (9) for absorbing the injection pressure which occurs when the casing is subjected to injection moulding.
