A ski binding for a cross-country or touring ski, comprising a holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) mounted for pivoting about a horizontal transverse axis (3, 103, 103', 103", 203, 303) in unison with a rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) carrying at least one locking pin (7, 107, 107', 107", 207, 307), in the closed position, and, for the transition between the closed and the released position, relative to said rocking member, said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) in said closed position of the binding gripping a forward sole extension (24) of an inserted boot (22) from above, while at least one locking pin (7, 107, 107', 107", 207, 307) penetrates at least one opening (23) of the sole extension (24) of the boot (22) from below, and a releasable locking mechanism (9, 109, 109', 109", 209, 309) for fixing said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) and said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) in position relative to one another in the closed position, said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) being pivotable upwards about a transverse axis (3, 103, 103', 103", 203, 303) disposed at a fixed position on the ski at a forward position of said rocker member facing towards the tip of the ski, the transverse axis (3, 103, 103', 103", 203, 303) for pivoting said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) relative to said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) being disposed in a front portion of the holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) facing towards the tip of the ski, characterized in that there is provided a single transverse axis (3, 103, 103', 103", 203, 303) for pivoting said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) and said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) in unison as well as for pivoting said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) relative to said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304), in that in the closed state of the binding (1, 100, 100', 100", 200, 300) determined by said locking mechanism (9, 109, 109', 109", 209, 309) said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) and said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) are non-pivotably interconnected and adapted to be pivoted upwards in unison against the force of a first spring (11, 111, 111', 111"a, 211a, 311) supported on the base plate (2, 102, 102', 102", 202, 302), in that a second spring (6, 106, 106', 106", 206, 306) acts to bias said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) and said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304), and in that said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) is formed as a shell having a bottom (5a, 105a, 105'a, 105"a, 205a, 305a, 405a) formed with at least one opening (15, 15', 115, 115', 115", 215, 315), and two lateral guides (5b, 105b, 105'b, 105"b, 205b, 305b), said locking pin, or pins (7, 107, 107', 107", 207, 307) extending into said opening(s) in the closed state of the binding (1, 100, 100', 100", 200, 300), whereas in the released state of the binding (1, 100, 100', 100", 200, 300) said locking pin or pins, respectively, (7, 107, 107', 107", 207, 307) is (or are) retracted from said opening(s) (15, 15', 115, 215, 315) of said bottom (5a, 105a, 105'a, 105"a, 205a, 305a) of said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) and from said sole extension (24) of said boot (22) due to said rocking member (4, 104, 104', 104", 204, 304) and said holding bracket (5, 105, 105', 105", 205, 305) being spread apart by the action of said second spring (6, 106, 106', 106", 206, 306). |
