<p>Paper web from a supply reel is fed in a controlled manner to the nip between laminating rolls. Plastics film material from a supply reel is fed to the same nip the rate of unrolling being controlled and the film material being stretched or shrunk by a nip roll or S wrap roll system positioned between the supply roll and the laminating nip to vary the stretch of the film fed to the laminating nip. The film length is monitored and compared with a predetermined length and the difference used to control the film supply to provide constant stretch of the film as it is laminated to the paper web.</p> |
