<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an display device for coordinate input which unifies the input function for coordinates and the display function for information in a simple constitution, by combining a display matter with a coordinate input device using an electromagnetic pen. CONSTITUTION:The AC voltage is induced by an electromagnetic inducing action at both ends of an electrode 21a formed on a substrate 20 by an AC magnetic flux produced by an input pen 5. The both-end voltage VS of the electrode 21a is maximum when the pen 5 is put closest to the electrode 21a. Thus it is possible to detect the coordinates in the direction Y by reading out the both-end voltage of each electrode on the substrate 20 and detecting the electrode having the maximum both-end voltage. Then the coordinates in the direction X can also be detected in the same way. Such a coordinate input device is combined with a display matter. Thus it is possible to obtain a display device for coordinate input that unifies the input function for coordinates and the display function for information.</p> |
