<p>A temperature controller (10) is connected to a remote temperature sensor (12) having a high temperature cutoff fuse (22) to prevent operation of the unit if tampered with to bypass a safety function. The remote sensor (12) has a diode (23) connected in series with the thermal fuse (22) feeding a pulsating D.C. voltage to a circuit comprising a capacitor (34) and a current responsive fuse (33).
