<p>PURPOSE:To prevent variations in sheet conveying speed, generated in a fixing section from being transmitted to an image transfer section, by providing an absorbing means for absorbing a sheet to make the latter into contact with a belt conveying device with a predetermined force. CONSTITUTION:A sheet S onto which a toner image is transferred from an exposure drum 12 by means of a transfer charger 16, is conveyed at a uniform speed by means of a sheet conveying device B with the unfixed toner image being held on its outer surface. Further, when the leading end of the sheet S is pressed onto a pair of fixing rollers 25, the sheet S is exerted with a shock and is formed in a loop shape. Further, such a shock and a loop shape is liable to be propagated to the trailing end section of the sheet S. However, since an air suction duct 35 laid in the lower section of a conveying belt 22 applies suction force produced when a suction fan is operated, upon the sheet S from an air suction port 36, the propagation of the above-mentioned shock and the loop shape are isolated. Thereby, the trailing end section of the sheet S still remaining in the transfer section A is transferred thereon with an image without being affected by the shock and the loop shape, and is then conveyed to a fixing section 23.</p> |
