The invention relates to a vehicle non-skid tyre. In the invention the aim with the tyre construction and with the anti-skid protection incorporated into the construction has been for a non-skid function in which the anti-skid protection protrudes out from the tyre tread only when the tyre is slipping significantly in the direction in which the protection is intended to prevent skidding. The tread construction of the tyre comprises tread blocks, which are divided by narrow, radial slots into at least three segments. The anti-skid protection 3 is inset largely in the second segment, viewed in the skid prevention direction of the block, so that the anti-skid protection extends obliquely over the slot between the first and the second segment and protrudes into the tread of the first segment within an area that partially defines the said slot. When the segments are bent in a skid-prevention situation, the anti-skid protection is turned to a partially projecting position. The third segment acts as support for the middle segment in a skid prevention situation.
