<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to work a nonlinear characteristic layer finely and to simplify a manufacture process by constituting a part of a bus-bar electrode layer and a part of a conductor layer across the nonlinear characteristic layer and a part of a picture element electrode layer and a part of the conductor layer across the nonlinear characteristic layer. CONSTITUTION:An insulating substrate 1, the conductor layer 2, the nonlinear characteristic layer 3, the picture element electrode layer 4 formed of a transparent electrode, and the bus-bar electrode layer 5 are provided; and one nonlinear resistance element each is formed on the left and right sides of a gaps part 6 between the picture element electrode layer 4 and bus-bar electrode layer 5, and those two elements are connected by the conductor layer 2. In this constitution, when the bus-bar electrode layer 5 is formed of the same transparent conductive material with the picture element electrode layer 4, only two layers are required as a mask and even when the bus-bar electrode layer 5 uses metal having higher conductivity than a transparent conductive material, only three layers are required as a mask.</p> |
