PURPOSE:To obtain an anion selecting electrode with a high selectivity, by arranging metallic elements three-dimensionally to use an ion sensitive substance which enables the formation of an ionophore that can orient anions. CONSTITUTION:In an anion selecting electrode with an ion sensitive film containing an anion sensitive substance in a high polymer film, the anion sensitive substance employs a compound with a structure given by the formula, wherein an organic group is expressed by R, fourth group metallic elements M, an electron withdrawing group X and frequency (m) and (n) of mutually irrelevant repetition. Specified ions can be arranged stably by having the diameter of the ionophore that can orient such anions approach the effective diameter of anions to be inspected thereby permitting the realization of a high selectivity. An example illustrated is an ionophore Y formed by a space surrounded by three metallic elements. The size of the ionophore is determined by the value of (n). |
