<p>The flexible coupling assembly tolerates angular shaft misalignment with four spring steel coupling links (52-58). Each shaft end carries a radial double lever (10) (30) with four screw holes for fixing bolts (20). The levers of the two shafts are offset at right angles. They are connected by the four coupling elements such that a four sides frame is formed. The ends of the coupling rods are bent over to locate the clamp bolt (20). In order to increase the rigidity of the coupling or its capacity for torque transmission, a larger number of link rods can be used in a similar manner.</p> |
