PURPOSE:To give a terminal the right to use an on-line system and to eliminate the leak of a password by comparing a password file which is set previously with a password file read in from a floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is connected to the terminal controller 4 of a device through a communication circuit 2 and a work station control part 10 is connected to the controller 4 through a work station interface 7. Further, a floppy disk device 11 is connected to the control part 10 through a floppy connecting interface 12. Then, the password of a user is registered in the terminal control storage device 3 of this controller 4. Then, a password read in from the device 11 is compared with the password registered in the device 3 according to the security check program 5 in the control 4 and when they coincide with each other, a communication program 6 is sent to the control part 10 to start a communication with the computer 1, preventing the password from leaking out. |
