Overhead electric cable construction

An overhead cable construction consists of multilayer helically stranded wires, the novelty being that (i) each layer comprises wires (1) of the same cross-section. (ii) the wires of at least two adjacent layers have different cross-sections; (iii) the stranding direction and pitch (h) of the wires are the same; and (iv) the wire cross-sections are deformed as a results of compression of the cable.
